Here is the one I tell every beginner to get.

My pick
MoYu RS3M V5
about $9It feels steady and it is easy to control. It is magnetic, and it costs less than a pizza. The two RS3M cubes also got the most votes when I asked my Academy for the best budget cube.
See it at SpeedCubeShopHow to pick a cube
- Get a magnetic cube. This one is a must. Magnets help each turn click into place, so the cube is way easier to control.
- You don't need to spend a lot. A good $9 cube can take you really far. A pricey cube feels nicer, but it won't make you fast. Practice does that.
- Pick a size that fits your hand. Most speed cubes are about 55 or 56 mm. If you have small hands, try a smaller one.
Two more great cheap cubes
All three of these cost about $9. Pick any one. Then spend your time practicing, not shopping.
